Guide On Using Tile Trims
The trim protects the edges of the tiles from damage such as cracking and chipping and makes a big difference to the final look of your home.
Trims come in a variety of designs and are usually made of stainless steel, plastic or aluminium. To properly install a tile trim, you will need to have some basic background in installing tiles to get quality results.
At Tile Wizards, we stock B.A.T. TRIMS Pty. Ltd., which has been serving the Tiling Industry for more than 25 years. This solely Australian owned and operated family business started in 1985 in Dandenong, Victoria and is recognised as the most innovative supplier of Tiling Trims, Tiling Tools, and Allied Accessories in Australia.

3-Step Guide on Installing Tile Trims In Your Bathroom
Step 1 – Planning
Determine where to install the trim in your bathroom. Installing the trim should always be done in conjunction with the installation of the tiles, so plan both installations together.
Select the aluminium edging according to the tile thickness. We recommend you to take a piece of tile with you; otherwise, the edging might not fit your needs.
Step 2 – Measuring
Determine the length of the trim needed to be used by measuring the area to be installed with the trim. Make sure to double check the measurement as it is very crucial for the project, especially when it comes to the cutting part.
Step 3 – Installing
To install the edging on an outside wall corner, tile one side first. Next, spread tile adhesive on the other side of the corner with a notched trowel.
Finally, press the perforated flange of the tile edging into the adhesive and align it with the wall tiles. Use a spirit level to make sure that the edging is plumb and then install the wall tiles into position.
